I would not recommend this doctor based on my experiences.
I’m not sure whether he takes what could be described as a more “holistic” approach, but I certainly didn’t feel that he was interested in treating my concerns from a medical or pharmaceutical perspective. On one occasion, I had what I believed was an infection in my leg. Another doctor had prescribed antibiotics, but this doctor disagreed with that treatment and felt that antihistamines were all I needed. I left feeling that my concerns had not been taken seriously and that there was very little willingness to consider or discuss treatment options with me.
Unfortunately, I had a similarly negative experience when I saw him previously regarding my mental health. I felt extremely dismissed and patronised, and the advice I received was essentially to “snap out of it”, go home and get on with things. I was left feeling as though my mental health concerns were being minimised rather than listened to or properly discussed.
Overall, I found him very unpersonable and patronising in the way he spoke to me. I expect a doctor to listen, take my concerns seriously and explain their reasoning respectfully, even if they disagree with another doctor’s approach.
Based on my personal experiences, I would not choose to see this doctor again and would not recommend booking an appointment with him.
